Community Alpha Part 109

GMGM and welcome to Community Alpha Part 109, the only newsletter that doesn't run on Claude, doesn't need a system prompt, and won't hallucinate your event dates.

Berlin Blockchain Festival is officially live
The website is up and the clock is starting. From June 15th to 21st, w3.hub is hosting the Berlin Blockchain Festival and we are doing things differently this time.
This is not another stiff conference. It is a real festival experience across 6 floors with exclusive investor dinners, community raves and deep-dive tech sessions, all with that authentic Berlin flavour you already know from us.
But here is what actually matters: This is the moment where Web3 faces its mainstream test. We are deliberately bringing in people from outside the crypto bubble, because fresh perspectives are what creates real edge.
Last year we proved we can run 4 events simultaneously. This year it is about quality, not quantity.

We are working around the clock on the agenda and there is a lot we are not allowed to reveal yet.
What we can tell you: if you are looking to connect with developers, investors or new business partners during BBF, now is the time to reach out.

Women's Day Special: One month of free coworking
Five years ago Vicky walked into her first Web3 meetup. She scanned the room. Mostly men, very technical conversations. There was simply no space yet where women could sit down, bounce ideas around and figure out if this industry was for them.

Fast forward to today and things have changed. Web3 is no longer just a technical playground. There are real business opportunities, creative roles and communities.
And with that shift, way more women have entered the space. But for many, the first step is still the hardest one.
That is exactly why we are doing something about it this month:
Every woman in tech who joins w3.hub in March gets one month of coworking for free. No strings attached. Just a real invitation to come build with us.

Ping Pong Night with Bitvavo
This one is long overdue. On March 19th from 5 to 7 PM we are hosting a casual community evening on the Bitvavo floor at w3.hub.
New ping pong tables, drinks and good conversations. No skills required, but if you want to get competitive there will be a small tournament bracket on arrival.

A good chance to connect the Bitvavo and w3.hub communities in person.
Never miss an event from us:

Callum just dropped his first book
Frontier Issue 01 is out. It covers Cryptography, from the basics of symmetric encryption all the way to zero knowledge proofs and blockchain. 100 pages, written for people who actually want to understand what is going on under the hood.

There is also a free sample if you want to try before you buy. Check it out here.
