We’re hosting a community-first event this November focused on DePIN aka the real-world layer of Web3.
Right now, we’re looking for the most exciting projects, builders, and speakers in the space who want to get involved.

The New Era of Ledger
Ledger just dropped some major news: they’re launching a whole new generation of secure devices. The Ledger Nano Gen5 isn’t just a hardware wallet anymore, it’s a signer designed to protect not only your assets, but also your digital identity in the age of AI.
Technical innovations:
Bluetooth® and NFC for mobile use
E Ink® touchscreen for improved clarity and energy efficiency
Ledger Recovery Key (backup key) included in every box
FIDO2 Passkey support for secure logins
Security features such as Clear Signing and Transaction Check
The new Ledger Nano Gen5 is priced at €179.
Alongside the new device, Ledger has also rebranded their app (Ledger Live) to Ledger Wallet and introduced Ledger Multisig for teams and enterprises. All of this was revealed today at Ledger Op3n in Paris. Read more about it here.

Bitvavo Community Events
On October 30, the Bitvavo team invites the w3.hub community to a special networking brunch from 11:30–13:30. Expect good vibes, free coffee from former Dutch barista champions, and a chance to chat with their BD, Marketing & HR teams. Maybe even about your new job 👀.
Later that night: they’re hosting a party in the basement with Toytonics, free drinks, and late-night snacks from 22:30–02:00.

Last call for builders: Cardano Hackathon deadline approaching
The Layer Up Hackathon by Cardano is still open for signups, but not for long.
