I have to leak this

Community Alpha Part 101

GMGM and welcome to Community Alpha Part 101, where I’ll drop you a 101 on where Berlins Web3 scene is at, this is the one and only recap you were waiting for.

This wasn't just another year of "building", it was the year w3.hub truly became the living room, the office, and the dance floor for a decentralized future in Berlin.

  • Vibe Check: Did w3 grow?

  • Hall of Fame’26 edition

  • The amazing people behind the scenes

w3.hub by the Numbers (vibe check)

We hit a new all-time high for activity this year. Never too much, up only.

  • 120+ Events: From 20-person founder dinners to full-house hackathons.

  • 1,000+ Pizzas: Fueling the builders through the nights.

  • 100 Liters of Jägermeister: Simply the best ice-breaker.

  • Zero Borders: Our residents and guests covered the entire spectrum of industries, from DeFi to Data to DePIN and AI, you name it.

→ We were all the more delighted when we got something other than pizza :D

Hall of Fame

If you were here, you know. If you weren't, here’s what you missed:

Berlin Blockchain Week: 14 Days of Madness It was the time of year when we saw basically everyone. Over 14 days, we hosted 30 events with 60+ partners. From deep tech to networking, there was something for everyone.

The Human Power: Throughout the year, we activated over 6,000 people. This was only possible thanks to our incredible team shoutout to our intern Angelina, who even spontaneously hosted a Running Club for the community!

Gaming, Panels & Nintendo Gamecube: One of the absolute highlights was the Gaming Summit, featuring a high-level panel and the legendary Nintendo Gamecube setup for some retro vibes.

Courtyard Rave: We celebrated our very first Community Rave in the courtyard. The energy was unmatched, fueled by endless Espresso Martinis and Slushies.

Also... did you catch our very own w3.hub Späti?

The Solana Build Stations: Our OGs from Solana hosted two massive Build Stations this year. In May with some extra wings from RedBull:

And again in October, we saw 35+ teams pitching innovative ideas and proving they were “ready to ship”.

Kulturwandel: When Tech meets Fashion. This event was a game-changer, it bridged the gap between the fashion industry and the tech scene, featuring what was, in my opinion, one of the best transformations of our event floor so far.

Ethereum is 10! On July 30th, we celebrated a massive milestone: 10 years of the Ethereum Mainnet. We hosted a community party featuring real OGs who were in Kreuzberg a decade ago to witness the launch firsthand.

Bitvavo Germany Launch: The Bitvavo launch party gave us a perfect taste of what’s possible in our courtyard: a full DJ installation, incredible food, and the best people in the industry.

Cardano Summit: We had the honor of opening the Cardano Summit, welcoming the global community across two floors.

Fun fact: the Cardano crowd are early birds! Seeing full floors at 9:00 AM is a rare sight for real Berliners. We were also happy to welcome Frederik Gregaard (CEO of Cardano Foundation).

Hyperliquid: In November, we hosted the very first Hyperliquid meetup in Germany. If you missed it, don’t worry—the second one is coming early next year! ;)

We are so proud to have broken the record for the most events held in a single year at w3.hub! And rest assured that we will break the record again in 2026.

Meet the people behind

You guys are our biggest motivation. We are so happy to see this community growing every single day and are incredibly grateful for your support!

Beyond the big stages and the 120+ events, the hub is made of the people who show up every day, drink too much coffee, and build the future of Web3.

To wrap up the year, I want to share a few stories from the people who call w3.hub their "home office.” Meet…
